About
Pete Gawne is an assistant curator in the Fishes Department at the New England Aquarium. He has over 20 years of animal care experience and currently oversees the Interactive Exhibits and Changing Exhibits teams. He contributes to project management, life support system design and construction, responsible and sustainable population management, and ambassador animal programs.
Pete is also a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain and a PADI-certified divemaster. He serves on both the Dive Control Board and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
