About
Edward Kim is an associate research scientist in the Fisheries Science and Emerging Technologies Program. Prior to arriving at the aquarium in 2022, he completed his master’s degree on gray snapper growth and reproductive life history at the University of South Alabama and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, where he also studied various inshore and offshore fisheries and gained extensive experience in ROV video analysis of artificial reefs. Edward’s work at the Anderson Cabot Center is primarily focused on acoustic telemetry monitoring of highly migratory species that inhabit the wind energy areas located offshore of southern New England. He is further involved in tagging efforts of species such as false albacore, black sea bass, and tautog.
