BOSTON, MASS. (June 12, 2024) – As summer gets underway, the Coalition for a Resilient and Inclusive Waterfront (CRIW), of which the New England Aquarium is a founding member, is offering a healthy roster of activities for people of all ages beginning Saturday, June 15 through June 24—including a special sunrise yoga class at the Aquarium overlooking Boston Harbor. Other free classes include meditation, breathing, dance, walking and running coaching, along with celebrations for the Summer Solstice and Juneteenth.

“Waterfront Wellness Week is designed to give Boston’s residents equitable and exciting activities near Boston Harbor,” said Luz Arregoces, the Aquarium’s Director of Community Engagement, active CRIW leader, and newly-appointed member of Mayor Wu’s Nightlife Steering Committee. “The waterfront comes alive in the summer months. There is so much to do with recreation, culture, and just the simple pleasure of enjoying time along the ocean in Boston. We are so excited to be part of this week and all the energy of being active on Downtown Waterfront.”
