The New Balance Foundation Marine Mammal Center will be closed for maintenance from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Tuesday, July 16 to Thursday, July 18. The sea lion presentation will be rescheduled to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on these days.

Waterfront beer garden opens outside New England Aquarium
Beer garden features elevated food menu with local craft beers, wine, and cocktail
BOSTON, MASS. (June 28, 2024) – As locals and tourists alike explore all Boston has to offer in the summertime, the Dockside Beer Garden at the New England Aquarium is now serving up food and beverages with a waterfront view.
The outdoor beer garden is open to the public and located on Central Wharf in front of the Aquarium. Patrons can take in views of Boston Harbor while enjoying lunch, dinner, or happy hour. The beverage list includes offerings from local craft breweries, Harpoon, Samuel Adams, and Cisco; a variety of white, red, and rose wines; freshly made cocktails; and seltzers.
In collaboration with the Aquarium’s hospitality partner, Sodexo Live!, the beer garden features an elevated menu, with starters including New England clam chowder and Old Bay spiced house-made potato chips served with smoked tomato dip. There are also a variety of salads and sandwiches to choose from, such as a field berry and goat cheese salad, sweet Italian sausage from the Sausage Guy (with vegan sausage available), and crispy ranch fried chicken sandwich. Grab-and-go items are available, from watermelon cups to pretzels and cookies.

The Dockside Beer Garden is open seven days a week from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. On July 2, the beer garden will have extended operating hours until 10 p.m. for the Boston Harborfest fireworks.
Adjacent to the beer garden is another outdoor option for snacks and drinks. Central Snack Bar offers fresh squeezed lemonade, giant Bavarian pretzels, locally made grab-and-go items, and more. The outpost will operate seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
