A Changing Environment: How Women Leaders in Boston are Taking the Lead on Climate Resiliency & Community Building

Aquarium continues 2023 lecture series with panel discussion Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m.

WHAT: In celebration of Women’s History Month, the New England Aquarium lecture series welcomes local women leaders to participate in a panel discussion, A Changing Environment: How Women Leaders in Boston are Taking the Lead on Climate Resiliency and Community Building. For the first time in history, both the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are being simultaneously led by women. This moment offers the opportunity to start conversations and begin to tackle gender equity and representation across all types of work, especially in the areas of climate change and resilient community building.

Join the Aquarium in person or online for a thought-provoking discussion featuring prominent women thought leaders making waves around climate resiliency and community building.

 The panel will include the following prominent local women leaders:

• Kim Janey, Chief Executive Officer, Economic Mobility Pathways, and former Mayor, City of Boston
• Vivien Li, nationally recognized waterfront expert
• Devanshi Purohit, Associate Principal (Urban Design), CBT Architects
• Tanisha M. Sullivan, President, NAACP Boston Branch

Moderated by Jill Valdés Horwood, Director, Boston Waterfront Initiative, Barr Foundation.
